Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum sits majestically in Kelvingrove Park in the west end of Glasgow. A recent restoration project has increased its exhibitions to around 8000 objects displayed on 3 floors
  Museum of Transport
1 Bunhouse Road, Glasgow G3 8DP.
The Museum of Transport is directly opposite the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. A wander around the museum is recommended if you want to indulge in the history of Glasgow’s transportation or if you want to get a close up of a formula one racing car.
     
Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails
Located just 4 miles from our accomodation are the Mountain Bike trails at Cathkin Braes. The trail is a approximately 5.5km long red graded trail in a figure of eight with Blue and Black options.Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails are an exciting new addition to Glasgow’s sporting landscape. The trails hosted Glasgows 2014 Commonwealth Gamese competitions and have been created in collaboration with expert designers. The venue makes the most of the varied terrain of Cathkin Braes Country Park to provide a challenging course for riders. Set against a backdrop of ancient woodland, steep slopes and wide open spaces, the trails offer a spectacular panorama of the city beyond.
  SSE Hydro
The SSE Hydro plays host to national and international music megastars as well as global entertainment and sporting events.
With a seated capacity of 12,000, The SSE Hydro augments the SEC’s existing facilities and stages 140+ events annually.
Attracting an audience of more than a million visitors each year, the venue is consistently ranked by Pollstar in the top 10 arenas globally, alongside iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and The O2.
Since opening in September 2013, The SSE Hydro has staged the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards, the Ryder Cup Gala Concert and the 2014 BBC Sports Personality of the Year. It was also a venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
     
Glasgow Science Centre

This is a great day out for all, with the inclusion of the Imax cinema and the Science Mall where you discover over 300 hands-on exhibits and interactive workshops. There is also the Glasgow Tower, the world’s first tower capable of revolving through 360° from the ground up.

Glasgow is one of the best shopping cities outside of London. There are numerous shopping centres from Buchanan Galleries, the St. Enoch CentrePrinces Square, Sauchiehall Street Shopping Centre which are in the city centre. Then you have the Breahead Shopping centre, The Sliverburn shopping centre available on the out skirts, not to mention East Kilbride Shopping centre which is practically on your door step.

Not to be out done Edinburgh is less than an hour away and as numerous tourist attractions from Edinburgh Castle, Scottish Parliement Building, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Zoo to Scotch Whisky Experience and the Edinburgh Dungeon.
